As part of its Samrasta and harmony efforts, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on the pious occasion of Rakshabandhan, renewed its efforts on the ground by connecting with the masses keeping the rich Indian traditions, culture and ethos in mind.

On this occasion, RSS Swayam Sewak Shri Karnail Singh Jogi celebrated Raksha Bandhan at the Shalimar Bagh Seva Basti with hundreds of sisters from there belonging to all strata of society irrespective of caste and religion.

“It was indeed a great moment to witness the pious celebration of Samrasta, unity and harmony with the tying of sacred Rakhi by sisters from all strata of society to Swayam Sevak Karnail Singh Jogi Ji as a celebration of Rakshabandhan, Indian culture and traditions and we are very happy to have played a part in organizing this event,” said one representative of Shiv Kripa Satsang Mandal Sangh, which organized the event.

A tired but visibly happy Shri Karnail Singh said, “It was a privilege and honour for me to be a part of such a big occasion especially to be among my sisters from all strata of society. It does not matter whether they are rich or poor or which caste or place they belong to. For me, it is more important that they are part of where I belong and it is such a privilege you know to be getting tied so many Rakhis. I will never be able to forget this moment. I will continue with this great practice in the days to come and do as much as possible for my sisters. They can count on me at any point in time like their real brother, that’s all I can say. I am with them whenever they need me.”

Said one such happy lady who was very pleased with all this. “It made us feel special, it made us feel part of one big family. We may be living with our own day-to-day issues but we feel we are not alone anymore. We now feel connected to our big family, to our brother Karnail Singh Ji.”

Several such Samrasta events were held in various parts of Delhi which Shri Karnail Singh Jogi graced and spread the message of unity, harmony and togetherness.
