The Kashmir Files | Nothing But the Truth on Genocide of Kashmiri Pandits

Before I talk about The Kashmir Files, let us imagine a scenario. You live in a large independent house in your ancestral village. Along with you, there are few others who own ancestral properties. Together, you all live a peaceful and serene life. There are abundant resources to consume. Hence, your village is called heaven on earth.

One day, one day you see people migrating to your village to find a job. They turn out to be humble and friendly in the beginning and as years pass on, several of them start coming to your village just to make a living.

Then one day, they start fighting with you on petty issues and if you show your might, they feel threatened and claim oppression. Surprisingly, they hold the monopoly in the local market and you shop on their own terms. Worst case, they deny you buying power too if required, which means you will starve to death.

Suddenly, you are confused and wondering about what is happening in the so-called Heaven on Earth. Then connect the dots, very lately realize all of this as a scheme. Before you confront them, they ask you to abandon your homeland. Well, you are not going to do that. However, they know how to make you do that. Then you come to know, a large number of terrorists are at your doorstep to force you to do that.

They tell you, if you wish to survive, you need to live on our terms i.e., convert to their religion. If you fail to agree, they ask you to abandon your homeland, and then comes the obvious i.e., death.

The Real Story of Kashmiri Pandits

Well, this is how 500,000 Kashmiri Pandits were converted, threatened to leave, and killed in their homeland. Ironically, the so-called secular human rights activist, politicians talking about humanism, and the western superpowers never came to their rescue.

Well, even the Government of India in 1989 when this genocide happened never paid attention. Beyond all this, the intellectual media folks claimed, “The chaos between Peasant Muslims and Hindu landlords was the reason for the exodus.”

Yet, these Kashmiri Pandits migrated and strived harder to survive beating all the odds. They were refugees in their own country and yet, there is no single Kashmiri Pandit terrorist like the so-called Jihadi elements who play the victim of circumstances.

Bollywood Movies on Kashmir & Kashmiri Pandit Genocide

There was one movie by Vidhu Vinod Chopra i.e., Shikara, which talks on the same subject. But, this movie again is an attempt at minority appeasement where Muslims are the victims. Surprisingly, Shikara justifies the act of Jihad by Muslims. Therefore, they are free to kill Kashmiri Pandits.

Rather than showing the brutality faced by Pandits, the movie was displaying the love between two individuals. Kashmiri Pandits, who were living in deep pain came our sharply criticizing the movie and its narrative. Then our so-called secular journalists were quick enough to mock and insult them. Added to this, the makers of the movie too declared it as the best attempt.

Haider is another movie, which talks about Kashmir, but not about Pandits or the Genocide. This movie featuring Shahid Kapoor shows how Muslims living in a village in Kashmir are subject to torture by the Indian Army. This movie does not even talk a single word about the exodus (Genocide) of Kashmiri Pandits.

The Kashmir Files – A Path Breaking Effort by Vivek Agnihotri

Fortunately, here is the first attempt by a Bollywood Director – Vivek Agnihotri who is openly displaying the brutalities that Kashmiri Pandits went through during that period. This movie is beyond a bold attempt.

Here are some facts in the movie that are worth mentioning and these facts are the reason why I urge you to watch the movie once.

Pakistan had a role in Kashmiri Pandit Genocide

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Shikara displayed a speech by Benazir Bhutto instigating religious violence. I’m telling this because at least one thing was right in Shikara. However, Kashmir Files goes much much deeper. Ms. Bhutto’s open speech gave instructions to send threats through Mosques and openly claim Kashmir’s freedom from India is clearly depicted.

Her speech also calls Kashmiri Pandits are cowards and Kashmiri Muslims as warriors. The same story was propagated throughout the media during that time. Those media houses shamelessly accepted the bribe and worked against India as well as Kashmiri Pandits.

Blood Donation happened on Gun Point

A scene depicts one Islamic terrorist walking into a hospital in Kashmir and demanding O Negative Blood. The doctor says there is no supply of Blood and that O Negative is a rare one. What the terrorist does next is something I wish not to reveal. But the gist of the story – Blood Donation happened on Gun Point when genocide attempts were in full swing.

Vendors in Market were Giving Pakistani Currency in Exchange

A scene depicts Anupam Kher as Pushkar Nath Pandit buying vegetables in a local market. The vendor offers a change in Pakistani currency and claims that this is their national currency. Brahma Dutt played by Mithun Chakraborty steps in and reminds the vendor that this is India. The vendor is then reprimanded for his actions. However, he threatens the police and the bureaucrats that things will get worse for you folks. Some days later, a Judge is killed in broad daylight.

Kashmiri Pandits Denied Ration

Yet another scene depicts that Kashmiri Pandits were not allowed to buy ration (staples – Rice). A group of Muslim women throw away the ration bought by a Kashmiri Pandit girl who then cries to Brahma Dutt about the lack of resources they have to consume. Brahma Dutt attempts to do something about this, but the Chief Minister’s office stops all his efforts.

Government of India in 1989 was a Mute Spectator

Yes, the Government of India in 1989 was a mute spectator. They knew what was happening in Kashmir and yet they never interfered. This gave full powers to the local state government and thanks to the already existing Article 370, which made things worse for Pandits.

If You’re Secular, Ask yourselves Why!

Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party have a lot of haters in this country. Even the ones who vote for them sometimes end up abusing them. However, one thing cannot be denied i.e., But for the presence of BJP in the center, a movie like this wouldn’t have possibly hit the screens.

Such brutalities the world saw in the Holocaust incident during World War 2. Hitler and brutality became synonyms. But, the so-called peaceful religion indulged in mass-murdering of Hindus in a state and still, none spoke about it.

Ironically, some Hindu friends do not agree with these facts. Some even think it is all just a myth. That is because they are brainwashed by a group of seculars. They never understand why they are seculars. One need not be a nationalist, but understanding what we stand by is very much important. If you are secular, you need to ask yourselves why you chose to be one in the first place.

Even after watching this movie if a Hindu does not understand, they must be ready to Convert to Islam, Flee their Homeland or Die as a Hindu!
