Centre for Research studies of Noida International University proudly organises Orientation & Induction Day programme for its new batch of M.Phil. /Ph.D. programme (Academic Session 2020-2021) on January 15, 2021. The programme would be inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Jayanand, Vice Chancellor of the university and would be attended by HODs/Directors of all the 11 schools of Noida International University along with the faculty members and new joinees of Academic Session 2020-2021.
At the beginning of programme, all candidates will be provided induction kits comprising of PhD ordinance, Plagiarism policy, Academic Calendar, Orientation handbook, etc so that they are well aware about the objectives of programme. We have currently 273 national and international candidates registered in the programme in the field of sciences, management and social sciences. The focus of research is on contributing to new disciplines and innovative subjects.
The university goes strictly by UGC regulations and has its own Ph.D. Ordinance and plagiarism policy as a guideline for carrying out the programme. For creating an environment of high academic quality and integrity, university has access to the URKUND software to be used by faculty members and students. The university intends to set up Institutional committee as well to ensure plagiarism free research work by faculty and students.
As per UGC guidelines, NIU has taken due care for encouraging admissions of candidates belonging to SC, ST, PWD and non-creamy layer OBC candidates.
All the candidates passed through transparent admission process, an entrance test followed by interview by subject matter experts. NIU’s research vision for 2020-2024 is shared below:
- To make Centre for Research Studies, a centre of excellence for research, in the national and international academic field
- To produce repository of quality research thesis in the field of sciences, management and social sciences
- To register 60 patents by December, 2024 in the field of sciences, management and social sciences
- To apply for 30 minor research projects in the field of sciences, management and social science
The programme is a first step towards making its M.Phil./Ph.D candidates committed to research objectives of the university.
