Podcast Awards 2021 Celebrating the creativity & endeavour of Indian podcaSTARS

India’s largest and first homegrown podcast hosting, creation and distribution platform Hubhopper Studio is delighted to announce The Podcast Awards 2021. An open competition to find the best podcasters in India. Developed in the run up to International Podcast Day on the 30th September the awards are open to submissions from anyone who’d like to nominate their podcasts and tell the world about the impact their podcast has created.

The awards include 8 award categories; Comedy, Health & Fitness, Self-love & Motivational, Educational, Business & Entrepreneurship, News & Politics, Best Regional Language and Storytelling with listeners voting for the top 3 podcasts in each category before the final decisions are taken by a jury comprising of:

  • Bijay Gautam, Co-founder, WYN Studio, a creative content studio specialising in audio storytelling and podcasts. He hosts one of the top podcasts in India- The Inspiring Talk reaching over a million people
  • Kedar Nimkar, VP Design, Jupiter Money & Host, Audiogyan Podcast, a collection of conversations with luminaries of the Indian creative world
  • Aditya Kuber, Co-founder, Ideabrew Studios one of India’s leading podcast businesses. managing nearly 100 podcasts with over 60 creators
  • Ishani Dasgupta, Lead – Podcast Partnerships at JioSaavn and has been elemental in the brand’s award-winning properties – Kahaani Express and No Filter Neha

As India’s largest podcasting platform, Hubhopper Studio is giving a voice to creators across India and has made it possible for content creators to seamlessly create & launch their podcast and also allowing podcasters to reach a vast audience through its wide podcast distribution network.

As podcasts continue to grow as an entertainment and news medium across the country, Indian podcast listenership has risen over 2,400% in the last three years. And the Podcast Awards 2021 is a celebration of podcasts having one of the most engaged audiences of all content platforms. With over 57.6 million + podcast listeners in India alone, they are one of the most effective ways to spread the word and connect with a global audience.

Alongside The Podcast awards 2021, Hubhopper are also launching a series of events and activations to celebrate International Podcast Day including Power of Podcasts, a project supporting NGOs, activists, educators, mental health experts, and content creators to share their vision with the world through podcasts. All the nominated podcasts will be highlighted on the Power of Podcasts playlist released on International Podcast Day.

Listeners can visit the Hubhopper Studio Podcast Awards 2021 page to cast votes for their favourite podcast by  September 26th, 2021 and the winners will be announced on International Podcast Day on the 30th September, 2021.
